“Leisure”
Come lay with me,
Place your head on my breast,
Close your eyes to the world,
And let me take care of the rest.
Escape to oblivion with me,
Where lost are life’s mechanic dings–
The world of warm water and comfy silences
Where the hardest thing is being.
Speak from your heart,
Tell me your rousing life story,
And maybe I’ll tell you mine.
This is our leisure, in all its glory.
